Namaste Nepal 2014

7 - 16 January 2014

Nepal, home of Mount Everest, has long been famous for its magnificent mountain scenery, spectacular architecture as well as distinctive culture and religions. Yet the plight of poverty and social injustice are often hidden in the dark and seldom arouse people’s concern.

‘Namaste’ is a common greeting used in Nepal. As suggested by its name, this winter, Rotaract Club, HKUSU is going to launch a service trip to Nepal, aiming to help the needy outside local communities, enhance international understanding and foster global citizenship.

This service trip will be a meaningful and eventful experience. Participants can take part in various community service projects. They will also get a chance to interact with local Rotaractors and experience local customs through a series of cultural exchange activities and sightseeing.
